Ori­gi­nal­ly an active mill under Hvidkilde Manor, Røde Mølle already had several qualities before its renova­tion: Its location was quite close to Hvidkilde Manor itself and the ex­pe­ri­en­ces as­so­ci­a­ted with it. Access to beautiful forest areas. Views of lakes and water. The lovely nature of southern Fyn. Popular leisure acti­vi­ties such as golf and mountain biking.

With the renova­tion, the beautiful, historic building has also been given an interior format that matches the exterior, the sur­ro­un­dings, and the idyll of the area: Røde Mølle now appears com­ple­te­ly updated, con­tem­porary, and modern after a renova­tion that aimed for a balance between the modern, practical, stream­li­ned, and charming.

Views of nature, and ex­pe­ri­en­ces

With the gentle renova­tion, several central rooms and functions in Røde Mølle have been rear­ran­ged. This has strengt­he­ned fun­ctio­na­li­ty for the tenants, created exciting common areas, updated the kitchen area, and provided some places in the building where the view of the lake and nature comes much more into its own. The new, renovated version of the old mill building brings nature much closer than pre­vious­ly. Røde Mølle is sur­ro­un­ded by the most beautiful nature of southern Fyn, with forest areas, lakes, sea, and the nearby Hvidkilde Manor, of which Røde Mølle is a part, providing a green and lush framework for the trip to southern Fyn. Ad­di­tio­nal­ly, there are numerous acti­vi­ties, ex­pe­ri­en­ces, and sights very close by. Perhaps via bike rides or walks on the newly con­structed bike path that runs from Svendborg to Ollerup. Or by taking advantage of Røde Mølle's proximity to the cozy town of Svendborg, which offers plenty of food and culture, from film festivals to food festivals.

All of these being within a short radius of Røde Mølle makes it easy for all par­ti­ci­pants of the trip to pursue their favourite acti­vi­ties—and then return to the community and coziness at Røde Mølle. Perhaps for cozy moments in the new common areas with, among other things, table football, table tennis, darts, bob game, soccer goal and an outdoor sauna barrel with an electri­cal oven. MTB team on a training trip – with sing­le­tra­cks close by

The local as­so­ci­a­tion Sko­v­hug­ge­ren has establis­hed one of the country's largest and most im­pres­si­ve MTB fa­ci­li­ties in Egebjerg Bakker. The facility, with marked tracks and trails, is only two ki­lo­me­ters from Røde Mølle and is establis­hed on the lands of Hvidkilde Manor.

Lots of ki­lo­me­ters of sing­le­tra­cks have already been laid out in the forest and on the tree-lined course, providing a beautiful natural ex­pe­ri­en­ce in the forest's stunning terrain with views over the ar­chipela­go of southern Fyn. It is also easy to purchase access to the facility. There's no guarantee of high sun, but what do mountain bikers need the sun for when the track is just right?

Golf guests at Røde Mølle

Svendborg Golf Club's course is located in Sørup—less than two ki­lo­metres from Røde Mølle.

It is an 18-hole course in the hilly nature that cha­ra­cte­rizes southern Fyn.

The course has hig­hlights for the skilled golfer with a low handicap who enjoys chal­len­ges, and for the less ex­pe­ri­en­ced player who enjoys the com­bi­na­tion of beautiful nature, good company, and plenty of good golf. From the highest points of the course, there are fantastic views over the Ar­chipela­go of southern Fyn, including Ærø on the horizon.

At several holes, there are water hazards near the greens. There are chal­len­ges for both your long and short game. And the putting greens are, by the club, proudly described as some of the fastest in Denmark.

The club also has a beautiful and exciting 9-hole course for a slightly quicker round—or for the golfer who wants to be chal­len­ged on all 27 holes.

Practical in­for­ma­tion

The old water mill Røde Mølle appears com­ple­te­ly renovated with the po­s­si­bi­li­ty of ac­com­modat­ing up to 36 overnight guests. Røde Mølle is located adjacent to Hvidkilde Manor and Hvidkilde Lake. The view of the lake can be enjoyed from several of the living rooms.

The property consists of two separate wings with a total of 9 bedrooms, four new bathrooms, a living room, new kitchen/living room with space for up to 45 people.

The house is furnished with a foyer, a large kitchen/living room with access to a large charming living room with visible beams and access to a cozy 1st floor/repose with a lounge area and a view over Hvidkilde Lake, as well as a snug corner with a TV/gaming area for the younger members of the family. In the living room, there is also access to 2 separate toilets.

The large dining room can ac­com­moda­te seating for up to 45 people, is perfect for hosting larger events, and also has a 75” flatscre­en. The main house also includes 5 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. In the adjoining wing, there are 4 bedrooms each with their entrance, and 2 bathrooms accessed directly from the bedrooms.

4 of the rooms are furnished with a double bed and a pull-out couch. 3 of the rooms have a double bed and a bunk bed, fitting 2 people. The remaining 2 rooms have double beds. Ad­di­tio­nal­ly, there are 4 good guest beds available for setup as needed. In total, there are sleeping ac­com­moda­tions for 36 people.

There is a large lawn with a play­gro­und area for the holiday home.

There is a cozy courtyard with garden furniture and a cottage where you can sit outside and barbecue.

For events, there are several high-quality food suppliers nearby who are happy to deliver to Røde Mølle.
